What is Stripe
Stripe is the service we use to process cashless payments. It enables people to tip you using their credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Apple/Google Pay are currently the most popular digital wallets — they work worldwide, and process tips quickly and efficiently. That’s why more than 90% of the tips on our website happen via Stripe!
Connect your busk.co account to Stripe
To create a Stripe account, make sure to review all the information you will need here. Once you’ve done that, head over to your tip settings page and click on “Connect to Stripe”.
You will only be able to add other payment options (such as PayPal, Venmo and CashApp) to your busk.co profile if you first connect a Stripe account.

How do I get tipped via Stripe?
Share your busk.co profile URL (e.g. busk.co/camila/tip) or QR code while busking. People open the link (or scan the code), and choose whether they want to pay with Stripe— which includes Apple Pay and Google Pay—, or enter their card details manually. Then, they just click on a button to confirm the tip. Fast and easy!

After you get a tip, Stripe securely transfers the money to your connected bank account daily, weekly or monthly (depending on your account settings).
Keep in mind that Stripe charges a small fee to process transactions. The good news is that tippers choose to pay this extra fee almost all of the time. You can read more about Stripe fees here.
We hope this information clarifies any questions you may have had about Stripe. Head over here if you want to learn more about how we manage cashless payments.
