If you don’t know who he is, Noel Gallagher was songwriter and lead guitarist for the (possibly soon to reunite) self-aggrandising and grumpy band Oasis. Noel asks the band what their name are. “‘The Memo’? Do you f#$%ing get the irony of that? A CD with nothing written on it by somebody called The Memo”. The point: this is exactly what street performers do the whole time, performing to massive audiences with nothing to signify who they are. We may have the answer to that.
